How to Draw a Standing Horse

For example, you can see horses in cartoons such as the popular «My Little Pony», «Spirit Riding Free», «The Silver Brumby» and others.

How to draw a Standing Horse
- Draw the outline of the animal’s head.
At the top of the sheet of paper, draw an oval and then add a curved line to it.
- Depict the horse’s body.
Add an oval beneath the previously drawn horse’s head.
- Add facial features.
Draw the horse’s eye and nostril as a big and small circle, and its mouth as a curved line.
- Outline the top part of the horse’s mane and ear.
On the horse’s head, draw an ear pointed at the top and also draw a long, thick coat.
- Add the neck and the lower part of the horse’s mane.
Using curved lines, make the horse’s mane lush. Add a line connecting the its body and head.
- Draw the outline of the animal’s legs.
Depict the horse’s legs as short and quite fat. Use straight and curved lines to complete this step.
- Add the horse’s feet and tail.
Draw the horse’s feet, using short curved lines. Outline the tail with flowing lines.
- Erase the auxiliary lines.
Take an eraser and remove all unnecessary lines from your drawing.
- Color the drawing.
Use different shades of brown. Colour the eyes with black, adding highlights.
