About

My name is Aram, and I am the author of this site. I’ve been drawing since childhood, and over the years I have learned many techniques while working with different materials, styles, and genres. I create tutorials on this website to share simple and practical art instructions with anyone who wants to help a child learn to draw with confidence.
If you are an aspiring young artist, a parent teaching at home, or an art teacher looking for clear and structured materials, you will find everything you need here.
What is Howtodrawforkids.com
This site was created to teach young students art and to support their parents and art teachers who want to guide children through the basics in an accessible and structured way, helping them build a strong foundation in drawing.
All guides on this website follow a clear “from simple to complex” structure. Each tutorial is designed so that a beginner can move through the steps without confusion and gradually build basic drawing skills. Every lesson includes an illustration for each step and a clear, detailed, and easy-to-understand description.
My goal is to offer materials that help both children and adults feel confident while working through the lesson, even if they have little or no prior experience with drawing.
Who am I

I am a professional artist and drawing teacher with decades of experience. For many years I have been teaching children how to draw, helping them understand form, proportion, and basic artistic principles. Throughout my work I have developed a simple, practical teaching approach that I now use in the lessons on this site.
Here are some of my artworks:
Where to Start
You can begin with any lesson on the site. Each tutorial is independent and includes the essential information a young beginner needs to complete the drawing successfully.
Each lesson contains a list of what is needed to successfully complete the work and how much time it will take.
In addition, many of my tutorials include a free PDF version with all steps in one file, as well as extra materials such as a coloring page, a tracing worksheet, and a grid worksheet. All PDF files are available at the end of each lesson.
This site also offers a large collection of coloring pages designed to help young students improve their coloring skills and develop a better understanding of basic color theory. These materials give parents and art teachers an additional way to introduce children to a different side of art and provide enjoyable, useful exercises that support creative growth.
For those who want to go deeper into the fundamentals, I have created a section dedicated to core drawing principles. It is designed to help beginners not only practice individual subjects but also understand the essential foundation of visual art on which all drawing skills are built. This section is also a helpful resource for art teachers, giving them a clear and simple way to introduce these concepts and spark a student’s interest in art.
