How to Draw a Dragonfly
- Draw the head.
Determine the size of your drawing and draw the round head.
- Depict the antennae.
From the head, draw curved lines to the sides so that you depict the thin antennae.
- Add the main part of the body.
Below the head draw the main part of the body in the form of an oval.
- Sketch out the belly.
Draw the long thin belly with smooth lines.
- Draw two big wings.
On each side of the body, draw the large wing, while maintaining symmetry.
- Add the rest of the wings.
A little lower, add two more identical wings that are smaller.
- Detail the wings.
With the help of short, uneven strokes, draw thin veins on the wings of the dragonfly.
- Color the drawing.
