In this step-by-step drawing instruction, I will show you how to draw a butterfly very easily.
This very cute and beautiful insect can look very different.
I have previously shown the process of drawing a butterfly for kids. There was the simplest version, in which there were few details, and the drawing itself was very simple. This sketch will be a little more complicated. Here I decided to make more complex details and shapes.
Start by drawing the head as a ball and the body as a highly elongated oval.
Now depict the upper edges of the wings as long, curved lines.
Now, using curved lines, depict the side edges of the wings.
Use a couple of lines to depict the bottom edges of the wings.
Now depict the upper edges of the lower wings.
Use intricate curving lines to depict a symmetrical pattern for the lower wings.
Finish off the lower wings with a couple of curved lines.
Depict long antennae and a series of short, transverse horizontal lines.
I decided to use orange for the wings and brown for the body. But of course, you are free to use any color you like.
In addition, you can depict some kind of intricate pattern on the wings. Or you can paint shadows to give your butterfly artwork a livelier look.
