Dinosaurs are reptiles belonging to the archosaur subclass. Dinosaurs were one of several species of prehistoric reptiles that lived during the Mesozoic era, the “Age of the Reptiles”. They lived on land during the Triassic, Jurassic, or Cretaceous periods many millions of years ago. Dinosaur remains have been found on every continent, even in Antarctica. Especially a lot of them in North America and Asia. Dinosaurs come in all shapes and sizes, but some of them were the largest creatures ever to have lived on the planet. These creatures led a different way of life depending on the structural features of the body and the environment. Among them were both predators and herbivores. Some species led a terrestrial lifestyle, others lived underwater, and still others could fly at all.

How to Draw a Realistic Dinosaur
- Draw the outline of the head.
To complete this step, you need to draw curved and rounded lines as shown in the picture.
- Add the facial features and the front of the dinosaur’s head.
Now you need to add the realistic dinosaur eye and mouth using arcs and curved lines.
- Depict the horns and elements on the dinosaur’s head.
At the top of the head, add two horns, using curved lines, add a line to the right of the head.
- Sketch out the nostril, neck, back and front paw.
Draw an oval on the head, add several curved lines to the left and bottom of the head.
- Draw another front paw and belly of the dinosaur.
Depict an arc near the drawn paw, and also add some arcs and curved lines on the left side.
- Add the realistic dinosaur hind leg.
Near the outline of the belly, add another paw and continue to draw the torso using curved lines.
- Depict another hind leg of the realistic dinosaur.
Next to the previously drawn hind leg, draw another paw that is in the background.
- Sketch out the tail of the realistic dinosaur.
Draw a long, curved line from the line of the back to the outline of one of the hind legs.
