The shelf is a piece of furniture without a front wall, with or without a back wall, designed to accommodate books and other items, souvenirs. Shelves are made from various materials such as solid wood, glass, mirror, metal, stone, and others. They can be equipped with various accessories, such as LED lights. The shelves are hung on the walls with the help of various fasteners, both hidden and carrying a decorative function.
When completing this drawing lesson, you can perfectly practice drawing geometric shapes. This figure also contains many straight lines. To make your drawing more beautiful and neat, you can use a ruler when necessary.

How to Draw a Shelf
- Draw the contours of the front edge of the shelf.
To complete this step, you need to draw two straight horizontal lines of the same length.
- Finish drawing the front face of the shelf.
Use two short straight vertical lines to connect the ends of the previously drawn lines.
- Add the top shelf line.
Above the previously drawn lines, draw one straight horizontal line, as shown in the figure.
- Depict the side edges of the shelf.
Using two straight diagonal lines, connect the ends of the horizontal line and the rectangle.
- Start drawing the shelf mounts.
Below the drawn elements, draw straight lines of different lengths, as shown in the figure.
- Finish drawing the shelf mount.
Draw two straight vertical lines of the same length to complete the shelf.
- Color the drawing.
To color this shelf, you should use different shades of brown.
