Toads are animals that are considered tailless amphibians. In appearance, toads are similar to frogs. Toads have a large flattened body, a large head and short limbs placed on the sides. Toads also have a long and narrow tongue.
In this tutorial, you will draw a green toad. With this tutorial, your drawing will be done in a cartoon style, so the toad you draw will look cute and funny enough.
This drawing lesson can be easily completed by any novice artist and child, so you do not need to have a lot of drawing experience in order to do this work.

How to Draw a Toad
- Draw the outline of the toad’s eyes.
To complete this step, you need to draw two identical circles, as shown in the picture.
- Add the top outline of the toad’s head.
Now you need to draw a few curved lines above the previously drawn outline of the eyes.
- Depict the inside of the eyes and continue drawing the head.
Inside the eyes, add two identical ovals, and also draw two curved lines on the sides of the head.
- Add facial features.
Draw two large dots between the eyes and add a wavy, curved line below the toad’s eyes.
- Sketch out the front paws of the toad.
Depict two symmetrical paws using curved lines of different lengths.
- Draw the sides and part of the hind paws.
On the right and left sides of the body, draw symmetrical curved lines, as shown in the figure.
- Finish drawing the hind paws of the toad.
Depict the big toes on the paws of the toad using curved lines, add the belly as a line.
- Color the drawing.
To color the toad, you should use shades of green and black.
