How to Draw a Turtle Shell

Turtle shell has a convex shape, it consists of a bone base and a horn covering. The shell reliably protects the turtle from any external influences, for example, it protects the turtle’s body from mechanical damage and protects it from predators. The upper part of the shell consists of several plates that form a beautiful pattern.

How to Draw a Turtle Shell
- Draw the outer outline of the shell.
With the help of smooth lines, draw an oval figure, the same shape as in the example.
- Depict the bottom of the shell.
Draw a smooth, curved line along the bottom outline.
- Detail the bottom.
Sequentially draw short strokes along the bottom of the shell.
- Start drawing the horn plates.
Draw three large horn plates in succession on the upper part of the shell.
- Add the rest of the horn plates.
Draw many connecting lines from the upper fatal plates to the bottom of the shell.
- Color the drawing.
For coloring, you can use any shades of green.
