In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw a window. This will be a simple step-by-step guide, thanks to which you will improve your artistic abilities and acquire useful skills.
Here is an instruction that shows in detail how to draw a window step by step. The acquired skills will be useful to you when you want to draw the whole house.
This tutorial presents a standard window shape that has four glass blocks. There is a small window sill below. The shape and size of the window can be very different.
To paint the frame, you can use the same color that is suggested in the instructions or you can choose any other shade.
This lesson will require your ability to make straight lines and will be a great workout for you. Try to do all the lines yourself and do not use improvised tools.

How to Draw a Window
- Draw the outer outline of the window.
Determine the size of the drawing and draw an even rectangle.
- Add the inner outline of the window.
Sketch out another rectangle, but smaller.
- Depict the outline of the frame.
At this stage, draw another small rectangle.
- Draw the thin frame between the panes.
To do this, you need to sketch out two straight vertical lines.
- Add the second thin frame between the panes.
This step is similar to the previous step. Depict two straight horizontal lines.
- Start drawing the window sill.
On the sides, add the corners of the window sill using short, straight lines.
- Depict the bottom of the window sill.
Draw a straight horizontal line to form the closed path.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Use the eraser to remove all extra lines.
- Color the window.
Color the glass light blue and the frame brown.
