Freehand lines are allowed in this lesson. It is not at all necessary to exactly repeat the shape of the flame, as in the example. Try to remember the sequence of steps and keep in mind that the fire has an uneven color. The upper and lower parts differ in color. The transition between different shades of flame can be smooth, or it can be clearer, as in this figure.

How to Draw Fire Flames
- Draw the left side of the flame.
Sketch out one smooth, curved line.
- Add the other side of the flame.
Draw a small line to form a sharp corner at the top.
- Depict the right side of the flame.
Sketch out a smooth, rounded line.
- Add the inner flame layer.
Draw two lines forming an acute angle at the top.
- Add details.
Continue painting the top border of the inner flame layer.
- Draw another inner flame layer.
Depict a curved line in the center of the flame.
- Sketch out the last layer of flame.
Draw a curved line in the same shape as in the example.
- Depict the bottom of the flame.
Draw a small, curved, freeform line.
- Color the drawing.
Use several colors in sequence – yellow, light orange, bright orange, and red.
