How to draw the Frog Prince step by step

  1. Sketch the basic frog head outline.

To start the drawing, build the main part of the frog’s body, drawing a wide horizontal oval in the center of your paper. This simple shape will serve as the frog’s large head. Drawing the frog head, keep your lines light and even.Sketch the basic frog head outline

  2. Add the oval for the frog body.

Once the head is ready, it’s time to show where the frog’s body sits. Draw a smaller oval below and overlapping the lower edge of the first one. Frogs have very small and round bodies, even if they are a prince at heart, so keep that in mind when sketching the amphibian torso.Add the oval for the frog body

  3. Draw the Frog Prince eyes and pupils.

Frogs have large, round eyes that stand out, so in this step, sketch two circles at the top of the upper oval. Make them about the same size. Inside each circle, add a smaller one to indicate the pupils. You can shift the pupils toward the center to make the frog look forward, or change their position.Draw the Frog Prince eyes and pupils

  4. Add the crown at top of the head.

To show that this is a prince frog, draw the crown above the eyes. Use gentle curved lines for the base of the crown and add three rounded points on top, each topped with a small circle. You can keep the crown centered between the eyes, or shift it to the side.Add the crown at top of the head

  5. Add the smiling mouth and leg shapes.

Give your frog a cute and smiling expression by adding a curved smile below the eyes. The line should be wide and raised at the edges. Then, at the sides of the lower oval, sketch two smooth, bent lines that will become the legs.Add the smiling mouth and leg shapes

  6. Detail the frog legs.

It’s time to complete the pose by completing the hind legs. From the sides of the body, sketch two short, curved lines that angle outward, showing the frog sitting. At the end of each leg, draw small, webbed feet with pointed ends.Detail the frog legs

  7. Draw the arms of the Frog Prince.

Now, draw two parallel shapes down the middle of the frog’s belly to show where the front legs meet the torso. At the very end of each arm, sketch small, webbed feet. Check the symmetry of the details and the overall design of the Frog Prince.Draw the arms of the Frog Prince

  8. Clean up overlapping sketch lines.

Before adding color, remove any unnecessary guidelines that were used to form the initial ovals and overlapping lines. Erase the inner edges where the head and body shapes intersect. Also, clean up any construction lines within the eyes or legs. Be careful not to erase the main outlines.Clean up overlapping sketch lines

  9. Add green and yellow tones to the character.

Finish your Frog Prince drawing by coloring the fairy tail character in simple tones. Use light green for the body and a yellow or golden shade for the crown. The eyes can be left white with small black pupils. If you want the frog to look livelier, add a gentle blush on the cheeks.Add green and yellow tones to the character
