I have prepared a simple drawing lesson in which you will learn how to draw a cylinder. This instruction consists of only four steps.
I have prepared a drawing lesson for you in which I will tell and show you how to draw a cylinder step by step. This simple tutorial is easy for any budding artist or child to follow, as it doesn’t contain any complex elements.
In order to draw a cylinder with this tutorial, you need to be able to draw straight and rounded lines. After completing this drawing lesson, you will be able to draw one more geometric figure. The ability to draw geometric shapes is very important and useful for any artist.
Perhaps you know what a cylinder is, and you may have seen this figure somewhere. So, a cylinder is called a geometric figure, which consists of two round surfaces below and above, which do not lie in the same plane and are interconnected by parallel sides.
You can often see various objects around you that are in the shape of a cylinder. For example, such things as a mug, a drum, a wax candle, a top hat, various pillars and architectural structures, tin cans, round logs and other objects and objects have the shape of a cylinder. By learning how to draw a top hat, you can easily draw many of these everyday objects.

How to Draw a Cylinder
- Draw the side faces of the cylinder.
To complete this simple step, draw two straight, parallel vertical lines.
- Add the top base of the cylinder.
Draw an oval between the two upper ends of the previously drawn lines.
- Depict outlines for the bottom face of the cylinder.
Now, you should connect the lower ends of the straight lines with a single arc.
- Color the drawing.
Use blue. Color the top edge lighter than the main part.
