Flowers very often become the object of drawing for beginners and more experienced artists. I decided to dedicate this lesson to drawing a flower that is familiar to you, and now you will learn how to draw a dandelion.
This perennial plant is widely distributed and can be seen everywhere except in the highlands and arctic latitudes. Small fluffy dandelion flowers appear in spring and delight us with their bright yellow color.
However, this plant creates inconvenience for gardeners, since the dandelion is a weed, it is unpretentious and easily restored. The dandelion inflorescence consists of many thin petals. Now you will draw all parts of this plant and a simple instruction will help you with this.

How to Draw a Dandelion
- Draw the stem.
This is a very easy step in which you need to draw one smooth line and put a dot.
- Depict the outline of the inflorescence.
At the top, draw two ovals of different sizes.
- Add the petals in the middle of the inflorescence.
Around the dot, draw the first row of thin petals in succession.
- Sketch out the next row of petals.
Draw the same petals along the outer edge of the inflorescence.
- Add the petals.
Sketch out some top petals.
- Depict the thickness of the stem and start drawing the leaves.
Draw a parallel line near the stem and draw the middle parts of the leaves.
- Sketch out the leaves.
Depict two leaves with smooth lines.
- Add details.
Using curved lines, draw a curly edge on the leaves.
- Color the dandelion.
