How to Draw a Head from the Back
- Draw the outline of the head.
Determine the size of your drawing and depict the head, which has an oval shape.
- Depict the neck.
From the bottom of the head, draw smooth, slightly curved lines to represent the neck.
- Add the outline of the clothes.
Draw the collar of the jacket and draw the outline of the shirt at the top.
- Sketch out the hair.
Draw the upper contour of the hair with a smooth line and draw the lower contour with uneven lines.
- Draw the ears.
On the sides of the head draw the ears, while maintaining symmetry.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Use the eraser to remove all extra lines in your drawing.
