I decided to dedicate this lesson to drawing unusual creatures on our planet, and now you will learn how to draw a kiwi bird. The peculiarity of this bird is that it is very similar to mammals. The bird moves on the ground and its plumage is very similar to wool.
The kiwi bird has a very long and thin beak and tiny wings that are not visible at all under the dense plumage. These birds cannot fly. How to Draw a Kiwi Bird
- Draw the head.
Determine the size and location of your drawing and draw an even circle.
- Depict the torso.
Draw the large torso on the side of the head.
- Add the eyes.
Approximately in the middle of the head, draw two small ovals.
- Sketch out the beak.
With the help of smooth lines depict the long thin beak.
- Start drawing the paws.
Below the torso draw the base of the paws using straight and curved lines.
- Draw the lower parts of the paws.
Using curved lines, draw the lower parts of the paws of the same shape as in the example.
- Detail the plumage.
On the head and body of the bird, draw the lot of short thin strokes.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Take the eraser and carefully remove all the extra lines in your drawing. Correct the mistakes.
- Color the drawing.
Use brown, orange, and black. Add the highlights to the eyes.
