I have prepared a tutorial for you on how to draw Cat Kid. You will love this tutorial because it is very simple and consists of nine steps.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw Cat Kid. This cute character is known to us from the TV series “Dog-Man“, he is also the main character of the comic club “Cat Kid”. Hope you like this ginger kitten and enjoy this tutorial.
If you have already drawn cartoon characters before, then this task will also be easy to cope with. As you can see, the cat has certain proportions when the head is much larger than the body. This gives the character a cute cartoonish look. Consider these proportions when doing the lesson, then the result will be better. The lesson is designed for novice artists, so there are no complex lines and additional elements.
As you can see, Cat Kid is holding pencils in one paw and brushes in the other paw, as if he was going to draw. Let’s prepare the necessary art supplies too and get down to doing this fun lesson.
- Coloring supplies
Time needed: 20 minutes.
How to Draw Cat Kid
- Draw the outline of the head.
To do this, draw a circle of irregular shape as in the example.
- Depict the eyes.
Draw two large ovals and draw a thin vertical pupil.
- Draw the rest of the elements on the head.
Add ears, mouth, nose, eyebrows and outline where the color will differ.
- Sketch out the torso and legs.
The body is smaller than the head, the legs are also small. Observe these proportions.
- Depict the arms.
Using a few straight lines, draw the arms that are spread out in different directions.
- Draw pencils.
Add three pencils in one hand.
- Sketch out the brushes.
Add three brushes in the other hand.
- Depict the tail, cape and stripes on the body of the cat.
Draw the tail and cape with smooth lines. Add stripes using short lines.
- Color the drawing.
Use orange and dark gray to color the cat. Paint pencils and brushes with any bright colors.
That’s all! Now there is a new character in your collection of drawings. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. By tradition, I have prepared for you a PDF file that contains the drawing steps described above and some other useful additions.
