The body of a brown bear is characterized as well-developed and strong, which is characteristic of all representatives of this family.
For the appearance of a brown bear, such signs as a high withers, a massive head, small ears and eyes are considered characteristic. The tail is not particularly long. Paws—massive and strong, armed with powerful claws. The feet are five-toed and relatively wide. Brown bears are characterized by a rather variable color, which depends on a number of natural factors. Although the brown shade is considered classic, the color of the fur can range from light fawn to bluish-black.

How to Draw a Brown Bear
- Draw the outline of the brown bear’s head.
To depict the brown bear’s head, you should use a curved line, as shown in the picture.
- Add the outlines of the brown bear’s torso.
Draw a long, curved line around the previously drawn brown bear head, as shown.
- Depict the facial features of the brown bear.
Inside the outline of the head, draw the eyes as ovals and the nose as a curved line.
- Sketch out the brown bear ears.
At the top of the brown bear’s head, draw two symmetrical ears using two identical arcs.
- Finish drawing the ears and add the element on the head.
Draw two small arcs inside the drawn ears, draw a curved line inside the outline of the head.
- Add the forelimbs of the bear.
In front of the torso, draw two paws using curved lines.
- Draw the pair of bear hind limbs.
Now you should draw two more paws of the bear, using curved lines of different lengths.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Use the eraser to remove extra lines and prepare the drawing for coloring.
- Color the drawing.
To color the brown bear, use beige, black, and various shades of brown.
