How to Draw a Bun
I suggest you complete a lesson in which you will learn how to draw a bun. The lesson is designed for beginners and consists of five steps.
Thank you for showing interest in my drawing lessons, and now I will show you in detail how to draw a bun. This is one of the most common flour products. Buns can have different shapes and different types of flour are used to make them. Sugar, poppy, sesame and other products are used as decoration.
The picture shows a bun that has a standard round shape and is sprinkled with sesame seeds on top. It looks very appetizing. Drawing a bun is very easy, and now you will see for yourself. I am sure that you will get an excellent result, even if you draw such a bun for the first time.
This lesson will require your ability to draw smooth rounded lines, but it is not necessary to make a perfectly even circle. As you can see, the bun has an uneven shape and your drawing may differ slightly from my example. The location and number of sesame seeds may also differ.
Materials
- Pencil
- Paper
- Eraser

Time needed: 15 minutes
How to Draw a Bun
- Draw the top of the bun.
Sketch out a smooth, rounded line.
- Add the bottom of the bun.
Draw another smooth line at the bottom to end up with the closed loop.
- Depict the folds.
Approximately in the middle of the bun, draw a few thin, uneven lines.
- Sketch out the sesame seeds.
On the surface of the bun, successively draw the small sesame seeds in the form of the drop.
- Color the bun.
You will need two shades of beige. The bottom of the bun is lighter and the top is darker.
