In this drawing tutorial, I would like to tell and show you how to draw a mushroom. I’m sure this lesson can be handled by any child or beginner artist who doesn’t have much drawing experience. To draw a mushroom with these instructions, you will only need to be able to draw curved lines and ovals.
There are edible and inedible mushrooms. Edible mushrooms include many fungal species that are either harvested wild or cultivated. You can also see inedible mushrooms growing in forests, thickets, and other wildlife.
In this tutorial, you will draw an inedible mushroom called a fly agaric. Its distinguishing feature is the red color of the cap of the mushroom and the white dots on it. Remember that this kind of mushroom should never be eaten as it can be dangerous for your life. So, now you should prepare your drawing materials to start drawing the mushroom.

How to Draw a Mushroom
- Draw the top of the mushroom cap.
This step is easy enough, you only need to draw one curved line.
- Add the bottom part of the mushroom cap.
To complete this step, connect the edges of the previously drawn line with another curved line.
- Draw the outline of the mushroom’s stem.
Below the previously drawn figure depict one curved line.
- Add the decorative elements.
Picture several ovals and incomplete ovals of different sizes on the cap of the mushroom.
- Color the drawing.
Use red and beige to color the mushroom you drew.
