How to Draw a Squid
- Draw the outline of the squid’s torso.
Depict the top of it as an arc and the bottom as a shorter curved line.
- Outline an improved contour of the squid’s top body.
In the upper part of the squid’s body, draw a curved line as in my example.
- Draw the two squid’s tentacles.
Draw these elements similar to each other. Depict them below the outline of the torso.
- Add two more tentacles.
These tentacles should be positioned in the background compared to the previous ones.
- Add more tentacles near the previous ones.
They are placed on the sides of the previous ones. Depict them as the same with the curved lines.
- Draw the last two tentacles.
These tentacles look partially covered by the previously drawn tentacles.
- Outline the features of the face.
At the bottom of the squid’s torso, add the eyes as ovals and the mouth as a short curved line.
- Erase the auxiliary lines.
Use the eraser to remove unnecessary lines from the squid’s body.
- Colour the drawing.
Colour the squid’s body purple and its eyes black, adding highlights on them.
