This lesson on how to draw a turkey will traditionally be really simple. It consists of nine really simple stages, and in each stage, the young artist will need to draw a small number of really simple lines.
The turkey is a very beautiful and peculiar bird. Turkeys like chameleons and octopuses can change their color. In this way, they demonstrate their mood.
For children, the turkey is often a mysterious bird that is rarely seen. Therefore, they are afraid to draw it. But in our lesson, consisting of only nine parts, we will teach you how to easily draw these adorable birds.
Materials
- Pencil
- Paper
- Eraser
- Coloring supplies
Time needed: 30 minutes
How to Draw a Turkey.
- Draw the outline of the head and neck.
Sketch out a shape that looks like a large comma. This is the outline of the turkey’s head and neck.
- Detail the head.
At this stage, draw a piece of skin on the head and neck.
- Draw the beak and eye.
Using a circle draw the eye. Then put a dot inside the eye. After that draw the beak.
- Draw the torso.
Depict a circle in the center of the paper – this is the torso of the turkey.
- Draw the tail and wing.
Depict the tail like in my example, and then draw the wing with feathers.
- Add more details.
Draw a curved line across the tail and wing. On the bottom, start drawing the legs.
- Draw the paws.
We continue to draw the legs. Depict the paws of the turkey.
- Erase the guidelines.
Remove all unnecessary guidelines. You can trace the drawing, to make it more expressive.
- Color the drawing.
Turkeys are usually brown with a red neck, but they come in a variety of colors. You can different colors.
