So, if you wanted to learn how to draw Pikachu, you are probably a fan of Pokémon. Or you decided to practice your artistic skill and chose simple but cool-looking art for this. Either way, you’ve made a great choice.
Pikachu is an iconic character that appeared in the Pokemon anime many years ago. Since then, this cute animal has gained immense popularity.
So, grab your favorite pencils, erasers and provide comfortable lighting. Let’s try to draw Pikachu!
Material
- Pencil
- Paper
- Eraser
- Coloring supplies
Time needed: 20 minutes
How to Draw Pikachu
- Draw the head.
Depict the head in the form of a rounded asymmetrical shape that smoothly expands downward
- Draw the body.
Our character has a small body. The size of the body is almost equal to the size of the head.
- Draw the limbs.
Add small paws. The feet are longer than the upper limbs.
- Draw the ears.
First, sketch out the basic outlines of the ears. Then draw the top edges like in my reference.
- Draw the tail.
As you remember, this lovely Pokemon uses an electric current as a weapon. It’s no surprise that Pikachu’s tail is shaped like a lightning bolt.
- Add the facial details.
Draw round, large eyes, nose and mouth in lines, and the outlines of the blush on the cheeks.
- Erase the guidelines.
Remove the extra lines from the previous steps. Correct any wrong lines and incorrect shapes.
- Color Pikachu
Use traditional colors to paint Pikachu.
