How to Draw a Maple Leaf
In this drawing lesson, you will be able to learn how to draw a maple leaf step by step. This simple lesson consists of nine steps.

There will be no complicated and incomprehensible steps in this tutorial, as I designed it for easy and quick implementation by novice artists and children. I am sure that you have seen maple trees and maple leaves growing on them many times. In most maple species, the leaves are called palmate, with an odd number of veins on each blade.
To draw a maple leaf with this lesson, you will draw the outer ends of the maple leaf step by step, and then add the stem and other elements. You don’t have to use a ruler to draw straight lines in this tutorial, as the lines may not be completely straight.

- Pencil

Time needed: 30 minutes
How to Draw a Maple Leaf
- Draw the top edge of the leaf.
To complete this step, draw a curved line across the top of your drawing.
- Add the top left edge of the leaf.
Continue the previously drawn line with another curved line.
- Depict the top right edge of the leaf.
For this step, you should use a broken, curved line.
- Draw the bottom left edge of the leaf.
On the left side, add a curved line and depict the pointed edges of the leaf.
- Sketch out the bottom right edge of the leaf.
Opposite the previously drawn line, add a curved line, as shown in the example.
- Add the stem of the leaf.
At the bottom of the previously drawn leaf outline, add two curved, connected lines.
- Start drawing the veins.
Inside the outline of the maple leaf, draw five straight lines.
- Add the small veins.
From each of the previously drawn straight lines, depict several thin lines of varying lengths.
- Color the drawing.
To color the maple leaf, use green.
