How to Draw a Telescope
In this drawing lesson, I want to show you how to draw a telescope. The lesson consists of nine simple steps that you can easily follow.
Especially for beginners, I have prepared a new lesson in which I will show you how to draw a telescope step by step. The telescope is an optical instrument for observing the stars, planets, and their satellites. With the help of a telescope, you can observe any celestial bodies and admire their beauty. This device allows you to observe even very distant objects.
Initially, telescopes were used by sailors during the voyage to see from afar the ships that were approaching them. Then telescopes began to be used in order to examine space objects. Telescopes come in a variety of forms, and nowadays, there are even huge telescopes that can be used to view distant galaxies.
In this picture, you can see a small telescope, which is located on a tripod. Such a telescope consists of an optical and a mechanical part. The optical honor is a tube, which consists of several elements of different sizes, and at the end there is a lens through which the observer looks.
The mechanical part is a stand and a stable tripod. The telescope consists of many simple geometric shapes that you can easily draw. Here you see cylinders of different sizes connected to each other.

How to Draw a Telescope
- Draw the top cylinder.
Depict two straight lines that are parallel.
- Add the remaining contours of the cylinder.
Draw two ovals of different sizes at the top and draw a smooth connecting line at the bottom.
- Sketch out the next cylinder.
At the bottom, add another cylinder that is smaller.
- Depict another cylinder.
Repeat the previous step and add another small cylinder at the bottom.
- Draw the lens.
The lens consists of a small cylinder and a small element at the end.
- Add the tripod mount.
In the middle of the telescope, draw the small mount, which consists of many elements.
- Start drawing the tripod.
Draw an oval element and add the long thin tripod leg.
- Depict the rest of the legs.
On the sides add two long thin tripod legs.
- Color the drawing.
For coloring, use different shades of gray.
