How to Draw an Orca

The orca is recognized as the largest representative of the dolphin family, and it is the only one among cetaceans that is considered a predator. You can apply the skills you learned in this lesson if you want to draw an underwater world or a seascape.
In this lesson, you will first draw the outline of the orca torso, then add its fins and facial features. If you follow these instructions carefully, you will end up with a very cute and realistic drawing.

How to Draw an Orca
- Draw the outline of the torso.
To complete this step, you need to draw one arbitrary shape that looks like an elongated oval.
- Add facial features.
Inside the previously drawn shape, depict one small circle and one arc.
- Sketch out the fin on top.
At the top of the outline of the body, add the fin using a curved line.
- Depict the fins on the bottom.
At the bottom of the body, draw two fins using curved lines.
- Sketch out the tail.
At the back of the body, add the tail using two curved lines of different lengths.
- Add details.
Continue the line of the mouth with a curved line and also add one shape.
- Add more details.
Inside the orca’s torso outline, depict two shapes using curved lines.
- Correct inaccuracies.
Use the eraser to remove any unnecessary guidelines.
- Color the orca.
To color the drawing, use black and shades of gray. Add the highlight to the eye.
