First, a lid is cut in the top of the gourd and the pulp is taken out, then several holes are made on the side of the gourd to make an evil grimace. A candle is placed inside the gourd to make the lantern glow.

How to Draw a Jack-o’-lantern
- Draw the top of the pumpkin.
Depict one rounded line in the center, then add two rounded lines on the sides.
- Add the sides of the pumpkin.
Continue the lines and depict the sides.
- Depict the bottom of the pumpkin.
The lower part has the same shape as the upper part and consists of smooth rounded lines.
- Sketch out the eyes.
Draw two half circles in the middle of the pumpkin. The result should be an angry expression.
- Draw the top outline of the mouth.
Add some straight short lines to depict the mouth and two teeth.
- Add the bottom outline of the mouth.
Sketch out a semicircular line and add one tooth at the bottom.
- Depict the stem.
At the top of the pumpkin, add the stalk of the same shape as shown in the example.
- Sketch out the dry stem.
To do this, draw one curved line on the side of the stem.
- Color the Jack-o’-Lantern.
For the drawing, you will need orange and green.
