In Chinese art, the dragon has the appearance of a long, scaly creature, much like a snake with four legs. The dragon commands the water element, controls rains and floods.

How to Draw a Chinese Dragon
- Draw the lower part of the torso.
Depict a smooth curved line of the same shape as shown in the example.
- Add the upper body.
Depict another curved line to get the pointed tail and a wide base.
- Sketch out the head.
Using curved lines, depict the outline of the head and use a wavy line to draw the mouth.
- Add the elements of the head.
Depict two thin horns, eyes in the shape of two ovals and nostrils.
- Draw the rest of the elements of the head.
Depict the long mustache and add scales on the beard and around the head.
- Depict the paws.
Add three thin paws, each with three pointed toes.
- Sketch out the dragon scales
Draw a curved and wavy line that starts from the head and smoothly passes into the tail.
- Add the tip of the tail and correct inaccuracies.
Draw the tip of the tail as the small brush and remove all extra lines in the drawing.
- Color the Chinese dragon.
To color the body of the dragon, you will need pink and yellow.
