How to Draw Yoshi
Tutorial on How to Draw Yoshi From the Mario Universe
Unlike most of the other tutorials on Howtodrawforkids.com, this tutorial on how to draw Yoshi will have more complex lines and details in steps.
This is because I usually simplify objects and characters in my drawing lessons. This helps make the instruction easier for children and beginners.
But if we try to simplify Yoshi, then he will cease to be recognizable. Therefore, we will draw Yoshi exactly in the form in which we could see him in games.
So get your art supplies ready and let’s get started!
Materials
- Pencil
- Paper
- Eraser
- Coloring supplies
Time needed: 40 minutes
How to Draw Yoshi
- Sketch Yoshi’s nose.
Create this body part using a simple, curved line.
- Sketch the top and back of the head.
Try to repeat the outline of this part of the head as accurately as possible.
- Sketch Yoshi’s torso and tail.
Using a long, flowing line, sketch out the back of the torso that merges into the tail.
- Draw Yoshi’s arms.
Draw the near arm first, then the far arm.
- Draw the shoes.
Using smooth lines, outline the top of the shoes first, then the soles.
- Add details.
Draw the outline of the shell and outlines of the spinal spikes on Yoshi’s back.
- Draw the details of the face.
Draw the eyes, nostrils, and the outlines of the cheek. Don’t forget to depict the line on the torso.
- Color Yoshi.
Use green, red, yellow, orange, and gray colors to color Yoshi.
